Question by jiggymonkey: Is there a way to enlarge a digital image without losing clarity?
I took some pics with a digital camera, and I’d like to blow them up, but when I use PS they look pixelated. Is there a way to increase the image size and maintain the clarity of the original size?

No. that’s why they keep making cameras with more and more megapixels.

Install the software first, then plug the USB cable, then use the installed software to transfer the pictures. More detailed information here:
http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/publications/urg00745toc.jhtml?chapsec=urg00745c5s0&pq-path=11251/11289
If you still have trouble, the camera might be malfunctioning (in which case you should take it back to the shop), or you could be doing something wrong.
A (somewhat) easier way to transfer pictures from the camera’s memory card to the computer is to use an external USB memory card reader, thus completely avoiding the Kodak software and simply transferring the pictures from the card (inserted into the card reader) to the computer just as you would transfer any other file from an external USB storage device.

Question by rebeldoll26: What digital camera has good resolution?
I currently have a digital camera that’s a 3-megapixel, and the resolution sucks! I’m lucky if I get a clear looking picture. Does resolution depend on megapixels? If so what’s the best? What cameras do any of you have that has great resolution?

Pixels translate directly into resolution, if you have a decent lens on the camera. It sounds like you are ready to move up.
Consumer Reports for November 2006 has ranked the Canon Powershot A620 as the best compact digital camera. It is becoming almost a legend for longevity at the top of various consumer lists. It looks like this model has been replaced by the A630, which I would expect to be just as popular.
My son has an A620 and it’s a great camera.

Question by Aoiffe337: I purchased a digital camera and misplaced the CD. How can I load my photos and use the features?
The technician who serviced my computer removed ArcSoftware PhotoImpressions4.0 because I had the original software that came with my camera. However, I have misplaced the CD and cannot find it even though I have searched everywhere possible. A part of the program was found on the computer but I am not able to upload my photos and use some of the features like the photo album, calendar etc.. Do I have to buy another digital camera with the program to get Photo Impressions 4.0 or is there somewhere that I can go in order to get the missing parts and be able to upload my photos? I downloaded Photo Impressions 5 but I do not like it and deleted it. Please help me to be able to enjoy digital photos once more.

You can contact them here and explain your situation and they may send you out another CD. Otherwise, you’d have to buy another copy.

Alternatively, you could try another program, such as Google’s free Picasa, or use a free service such as Flickr (owned by Yahoo!), which I use and prefer.

Photography with film is a lot different from digital. For one thing, it’s done in a dark room. You need the right chemicals, an enlarger, etc. Plus there’s a completely different feel to the way the images are produced after the point and shoot part. Also, because of all the chemicals, film photography is more of a health hazard, especially color film!
Digital photography is all handled on the computer instead of in the dark room. You use a computer, photo editing program, and a printer to produce your photographs. Again it just feels different.
I’d suggest trying out both of them before making a decision. I prefer digital (because I can’t stand the smell of the dark room), but a lot of people really love film. And pinhole cameras only work in the dark room (they’re a lot of fun!).

Question by Eric C: What is the best site to build a store for digital products?
I’m looking for a good site to sell an informational ebook, and right now it’s between Clickbank and iPowerweb…ipowerweb has tons or amazing features but may not be well suited for a digital product whereas Clickbank has fewer features and bonuses but is designed with digital products in mind. Can anyone give me an experienced opinion on where to take my business?
