Question by : How do I transfer video from my digital camera to my computer?
My digital camera is a Kodak af 3x optical aspheric lens. I connected the USB to the camera and the computer but how and where do I go to find the video to put it on the computer. I will be using this video with Windows Movie Maker.
Best answer:
Answer by Mmm J
Kodak point and shoot cameras that happen to capture very compressed video as a convenience feature will save the video files to MOV format. MovieMaker cannot use these video files unless you convert them to WMV.
Download and install a transcoder. I like MPEG StreamClip from www.squared5.com – there are lots of others.
Get a memory card reader and connect it to the computer.
Take the memory card out of the camera and put it in the card reader.
Copy the MOV files to the computer.
Launch the transcoder and convert the MOV files to WMV.
Quit the transcoder.
Launch MovieMaker and drag the converted files to the MovieMaker sequence storage area or the timeline.

I have a Canon digital camera. I’m not sure if I will have access to any computers while traveling, but I want to take LOTS of photos. Forgive my ignorance about technology, but isn’t there some cool, portable device suitable for storing photos, or should I buy a bunch of cards?

Question by High On Life: What digital camera should I buy for speed and quality?
I need a digital camera that takes quality pictures very fast (ie, I can’t be sitting there for 5 seconds waiting for the camera to finally take the picture). I also need it to be fairly small (ie, not your big SLRS-whatevers with the removable lenses). Is this an oxymoron? Also, I’d prefer it to be below 0, though I can spend a bit more if need be.
My mom is a big photo-buff and so I pretty much inherited her need for quality and speed in pictures and picture-taking lol

Use 300 dpi for a good quality scan. If you still don’t like it, select 600 dpi and that will do the job perfectly.
